Enhance the lives of older adults at Sholom through opportunities that fit your talents, interests & schedule.

Volunteer to Enrich the Lives of Older Adults

Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds make a difference in our community each day by sharing their time, experience, and talents.  Whether you are looking for a volunteer opportunity to meet new people, help others, connect with the community, build your resume, get out of the house for a few hours, or fulfill a work or school obligation, the Sholom volunteer team has something for you!

We offer an array of volunteer roles most days of the week at a variety of times.  Flexibility is key! We will work with you and your schedule so come Volunteer ONCE A MONTH, ONCE A WEEK, OR AS OFTEN AS YOU ARE ABLE!

Come Volunteer with Sholom!

Events and Activities
Join our residents in a variety of fun-filled weekly activities and events. Help transport to happy hour, assist with bingo, serve at luncheons, and much more.

Companion Volunteers
Visit with our residents, read to them, play cards or games, listen to music or just chat. This helps to provide both social and emotional support for our residents.

Your Interest or Talent
Can you play an instrument? Do you have a friendly pet? Do you love crafts, books, baking etc.? Come join our team and share your talents or interests with our residents.

OMA: Opening Minds through Art
This is an art program for our residents with memory loss. As a volunteer, you will build a relationship with an individual resident as you assist them in an art project. (Additional one-hour training is required.)

Music & Memory
This is a program which helps our residents with memory loss. Listen to their favorite music and watch them come ALIVE through the power of music. (Additional one-hour training is required.)
