Sholom was honored to welcome Mayor Nadia Mohammed, members of the St. Louis Park City Council, and other city leaders to our West Campus for a firsthand look at the many ways we serve older adults and strengthen our community.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the breadth of services and programs available across our campus while engaging in meaningful conversations with residents and team members about what makes Sholom a place where people truly belong.

Throughout the visit, city leaders learned about several of Sholom’s unique outreach and engagement initiatives, including our Interfaith Conversations series, Community Ambassador Program, Home Visits, volunteer opportunities, and other programs that foster connection, purpose, and lifelong engagement for older adults.

“One of the most meaningful parts of the visit was the opportunity for our guests to spend time talking directly with the people who live and work here,” said Rachelle Lavalier, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “Relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and it was wonderful to share how Sholom serves not only our residents, but the broader community as well.”

Residents of Knollwood Place Apartments, Sholom’s newly renovated 55+ independent living community, warmly welcomed the visitors and invited them to enjoy a complimentary dinner at Willows Grill. Known for its approachable gourmet dining experience, Willows Grill offers residents and guests an inviting atmosphere where exceptional meals create opportunities for friendship and conversation.

Sholom is grateful to Mayor Nadia Mohammed and the city leaders who took time to visit our campus, ask thoughtful questions, and learn more about the many ways we support healthy aging, independence, and meaningful living.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with the City of St. Louis Park as we work together to build a community where older adults are valued, connected, and empowered to thrive.
