St. Louis Park, MN — Sholom, a nonprofit senior care organization, has announced a historic $8 million infrastructure investment alongside refreshed brand messaging that reflects its commitment to belonging, dignity, and inclusive community.
Powered by a transformational grant from the Sholom Foundation, this initiative—known as the Future of Sholom—is designed to strengthen services, technology, communication, workforce support, and the overall community experience.
The investment will enhance clinical systems, operational tools, communication platforms, and select living and shared spaces across Sholom’s campuses, positioning the organization for long-term sustainability and excellence in care.
“These investments ensure that we are not only meeting today’s needs, but preparing responsibly for the future of senior care,” said Jim Newbrough, CEO of Sholom. “It strengthens how we care for residents, support staff, and serve families and the broader community.”
Sholom’s infrastructure investment initiative reinforces its commitment to:
Enhancements include advancements in electronic health record systems, nurse call and communication technologies, operational and staffing tools, and improved organizational platforms—along with updates to select living environments and common spaces.
“Our donors help bring our values to life in tangible ways,” said Etta Barry, President of the Sholom Foundation. “Their generosity allows us to invest thoughtfully in the people, spaces, and systems that sustain our mission.”
“This work is incredibly exciting,” added Renee Lampert, President of Sholom Community Alliance. “It represents more than renovation or modernization. It is a leap into the future. I am elated to see our residents, families, and staff thriving today and to be building a strong foundation for generations to come.”
At the same time, Sholom is introducing refreshed brand messaging that highlights belonging and inclusive care across all service lines, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospice, and home-based services.
Together, these efforts reflect Sholom’s commitment to being a future-ready organization while continuing to serve as a trusted resource for older adults and families across the Twin Cities.
