Grief touches every part of us—our hearts, our bodies, and our sense of safety in the world. During times of loss, stress, or emotional exhaustion, traditional coping tools may feel out of reach. Yoga Nidra offers another way forward: through rest.
Yoga Nidra for Grief is a gentle, guided meditation practice led by instructor Dallas Rising, created to support those who are grieving or facing difficult life transitions. Often referred to as yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra guides participants into a deeply restorative state between wakefulness and sleep, where healing and integration can naturally occur.
This practice is done lying down or seated comfortably and requires no movement, flexibility, or prior yoga experience. Participants are invited to keep cameras off and remain muted, allowing for privacy, ease, and a sense of shared yet quiet community.
Through guided awareness, breath, and intentional rest, Yoga Nidra can help:
- Calm the nervous system
- Ease emotional overwhelm
- Reduce stress, anxiety, and fatigue
- Create space for grief to be acknowledged with compassion
- Support resilience and inner steadiness during challenging times
Whether you are experiencing recent loss, ongoing grief, caregiver stress, or simply feeling worn down by life, this practice offers a safe and supportive space to pause and rest.
You are welcome just as you are.
