Shirley Chapman Sholom Home East Receives High Performing Rating
U.S. News & World Report has named Sholom’s Shirley Chapman Sholom Home East among its High Performing care centers, recognizing the nation’s top senior care providers. The rating covers overall quality of care, considering both long-term residents and short-stay patients, including evaluations of medical quality, nurse staffing, health inspections and rehabilitation therapy.
Of the nearly 15,000 nursing home centers in the United States, fewer than 20 percent were listed among tops from U.S. News & World Report.
“Every member of the Sholom team takes great pride in care and service we provide and this ranking shows our efforts are being recognized,” said Barb Klick, Sholom CEO.
The Shirley Chapman Home East provides short-term and long-term rehabilitation services in a unique ‘neighborhood’ and ‘home’ like setting. Each neighborhood has a look and feel that makes for distinct feelings as residents move throughout the building while the more home-like setting features smaller, homelike dining settings and centralize living-room like visiting areas.
“The Chapman approach is very person centric, with dedicated on-site medical and physical therapy care teams who ensure everyone is treated like family no matter how long their stay,” Klick said. “The comfort and feeling of home is part of the rehabilitation process and getting residents feeling their best.”
For more than a century, Sholom has provided exceptional care for seniors and is ranked among the top 20 in size by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. With locations in St. Paul and St. Louis Park, Sholom provides a full continuum of care for seniors.
