Sholom offers two specialized memory care programs as part of our Assisted Living services – the Leo & Doris Hodroff Pavilion for Memory Care located within the Roitenberg Family Assisted Living Residence in St. Louis Park and the Jay & Rose Phillips Center for Memory Care located within the Bentson Family Assisted Living Residence in St. Paul. We also offer individualized care for Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments within the skilled nursing environment at Sholom Home West in St. Louis Park.

Watching a loved one struggle with Alzheimer’s or dementia can be challenging. They could go from a healthy, independent individual, to someone that requires full-time specialized care and attention. The problem is that it is not always possible for family members to take on the responsibility of care. Additionally, it often becomes impossible for the individual to remain in their home without putting themselves at risk.
At the Sholom in the Maple Grove area Alzheimer assisted living facilities, we offer residents that suffer from Alzheimer’s and dementia a completely safe environment for them to live in comfort. We understand the extra care and attention that these individuals require, and include that care within the monthly rent payment.
Our Maple Grove area Alzheimer’s assisted living facilities include everything our residents need to be secure and maintain as independent a life as possible. The Leo and Doris Hodroff Pavilion for Memory Care is situated in our Roitenberg Assisted Living Residence, in St. Louis Park.
Featuring two neighborhoods of 12 studio apartments each designed and staffed for the distinctive needs of adults with dementia and memory loss. The studios feature spacious access, including in the bathroom, to ensure residents’ safety. Each studio maintains a person’s privacy with help and assistance within easy reach.
Our Maple Grove area Alzheimer’s and dementia care service provides a comprehensive plan for those that need it. Most services are included in the monthly rent, so you do not need to worry about being charged extra, unless you decide to take advantage of our add-on fee services.
Each of our Maple Grove dementia assisted living residents can leave the weekly housekeeping and laundry to us. Even daily bed-making and trash removal are taken care of by Sholom staff. Everyone has different personal care requirements, so we take care to understand what all of our residents need, and provide assistance for personal care, as needed. Residents can also enjoy three thoughtfully prepared and nutritious kosher meals per day, as well as kosher snacks. Utilities are also fully included.
Home care services are provided 24/7, and licensed nursing personnel are on duty seven days a week, as well as being on-call 24/7. Each resident is provided with a pendant alarm system, so they can call for help the moment they need it. Responses to these pendant calls are provided 24/7.
We also know that people with dementia and memory loss can sometimes become easily lost or disorientated, so our staff is on hand to provide escorts, cueing, and redirection as needed. We also provide structured memory care activities that are designed to enhance and fulfill our resident’s physical, mental, social, and spiritual requirements.
Residents also have access to our wellness clinics and transportation for organized outings such as recreational activities, medical appointments, and more.
Our Maple Grove area memory care facilities are secure to ensure our residents can remain safe. This includes controlled access at entry points, and a check-in system for guests and visitors. The rooftop garden is fully secured so people can enjoy fresh air whenever they like.

My dad, Henry, has been a resident at Phillips since mid-August. I wanted to write you a quick note to comment on the beautiful care he is receiving. I’m so pleased with his accommodations, the way he looks every time I see him, and the way the staff involve him in activities. They are johnny-on-the-spot if things are amiss, which I greatly appreciate. Both the social worker and the nurse commented when I ran into them yesterday that he seems to have settled in well now, and to be content. We couldn’t ask for more. We were blessed the Phillips had an opening when he needed to be moved from his assisted living facility, and we continue to be blessed by the way he is looked after.
