Food for Your Soul took place virtually on November 11th
The 11th annual Food for your Soul took place virtually on Thursday, November 11, 2021, starting at 6:30pm. Toba and Allen Freeman were honored with the Tzedek Award, recognizing their more than 50 years of leadership and commitment to Sholom. Their children, Sue FreemanandNeil Borenstein, Jennifer GrayandMark Freeman, Nancy and Jeff Getzkin and Barb and Todd Striker, served as the event’s honorary co-chairs. In addition, Rhoda and Don Mains and Marsha and Gary Tankenoff served as Event Committee Co-Chairs.
For the second year in a row, the event was free and open to the public. This year’s theme is Food for your Soul: Like Bubbe Used to Make featured cooking demonstrations of popular Jewish foods, cooking tips from local Bubbe’s and an interactive art project to help you understand how the arts benefit Sholom residents.
There are multiple ways you can show your support, including becoming an event sponsor, placing a tribute ad in honor of Toba and Allen Freeman in our event ad book or making a general donation. Dollars raised will help ensure that Sholom residents and tenants live their lives with comfort, dignity and quality care.
