Did you know there are over 54 million Americans over 65? With an aging population, it’s critical to do what you can to help your loved ones stay healthy.

As people age, their muscles and joints lose strength and stability. Even healthy seniors can struggle with mobility and put themselves at risk for falls or other injuries. Physical therapy for seniors can prevent some of these problems and heal them after injuries happen.
Independence is important to every human being. In fact, psychological studies show that it is inextricably linked to feelings of self-worth across cultures. The challenge is that, as we get older, we become more dependent on others.
This can be due to physical or mobility limitations, or it can result from other challenges that force us to balance safety and security with a sense of independence.
Over 15 million Americans aged 65 or older are financially insecure. This means that about 1 in 3 senior citizens is at risk of being unable to afford basic needs.
Housing and healthcare costs are rising sharply. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult for seniors across America, including in St. Paul, to maintain their quality of life. Thankfully, the government provides a few assistance programs. The most well-known ones are Social Security and Medicare.
Sholom, in partnership with our community, supports adults in need across the continuum of care, to live life fully where all are welcome. We offer convenient Twin Cities locations.
