“Jenzi Silverman is a volunteer extraordinaire”, according to Laura Arne, Sholom’s volunteer coordinator.  Jenzi loves every minute of her time at Sholom where she spear-heads Sholom Music & Memory Program at the Ackerberg Campus and volunteers her time and talents to do 1:1 Music Therapy with Rachel Hastings, Sholom’s music therapist.   And she’s always looking to do more!

Recently,  Jenzi successfully completed the Medical Musician Initiative's training workshop called "Medicine for Musicians." This course is offered by the Medical Musician Initiative to train musicians about the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual issues that critical care patients in hospitals face, in order to equip musicians to provide live music for these patients to promote their optimal healing. Jenzi is especially excited about this because she is the *first recorder player in the world* to have taken this course!! And probably safe to say, the first Sholom Campus volunteer to do it!

Congratulations, Jenzi! And, thank you for all you do for the tenants and residents at Sholom!
