A Message from Barb Klick, Sholom CEO

We heal as a country when we come together as a community.
This is how we change the world, one step at a time.

Great things are happening at our Sholom community!

Our Sholom community = residents, tenants, clients, family members, employees, foundation, auxiliary, lay leadership (boards and board committees), and Jewish residents in the twin cities are coming together to restore Sholom.  There has been much progress in quality care, financial stability and employee investment.  I am happy to provide you with an update on our Sholom facilities below:

  • Ackerberg Campus
    • Knollwood Plaza Apartments
      • Modernization of one elevator completed and work has begun on second elevator with a completion date in fall 2017
      • Chiller ordered to replace old Heating, Ventilation and  Air Conditioning system with completion date in fall 2017
    • Parking lot
      • Letter of intent has been signed, contract will be negotiated by the end of September, work to begin the end of September/beginning of October with completion anticipated in October 2017
    • WiFi
      • Now accessible across the entire campus
  • Shaller Campus
    • Vitality pool – updated pipes, floor and locker room decking – completed in May 2017
    • Production kitchen  air conditioning – completed in Sept 2017

I am grateful for the partnership and patience that we have experienced from our community during the work on the above completed projects.

We have accomplished much and have more worthwhile work ahead of us.  I live in gratitude for the community we have that is standing strong to restore Sholom.
