GivingThank you for your support of Sholom Community Alliance. We are a not-for-profit organization providing a broad range of residential, social service, and health care services primarily for older adults and within a Jewish environment. With the vast majority of our residents relying on government assistance, providing these services is a considerable challenge. Minnesota is only one of two states in the country to have an “equalization law.” This means that whatever reimbursement rate the government sets for services is the maximum amount we are allowed to charge for private pay as well. While theoretically this sets up a fair and equitable system for all seeking care, it also means that we must rely on our community to help provide the level of care that our seniors have come to expect and certainly deserve. We Need Your Help! Our community’s seniors have called Sholom their “home” for over 100 years . . . and we plan to continue providing care and services for at least 100 more! But we need your help. As the economy has taken a hit, so has the Alliance – both in the form of decreased funding at the state and federal level as well as a decline in individual memberships, honor/memorial contributions, event participation, and overall annual giving. You can choose to support the Sholom Community Alliance in several ways: - Become a Bed & Breakfast Backer – The Bed & Breakfast Backer Campaign provides ongoing, monthly cash-flow to the Alliance for critically needed services today. “Backers” commit to a minimum monthly contribution – automatically charged to a credit card or deducted from a checking account – of $25 or more. Backers are automatically members of Sholom Community Alliance. To sign up with your credit card, please click here and select Bed & Breakfast Backers in the “program designation.”

- Become a member of Sholom Community Alliance. We count on our annual membership drive to provide annual support. Membership levels start at $18 and go up from there. You can become an Alliance member by clicking on this button and selecting Membership in the “program designation” section.

- Honor a loved one with a tribute card. Click on this button (Honor/Memorial button goes here) to make an honor or memorial gift. The form will allow you to fill out the name and address of whomever you’d like the card to be sent to and for what occasion. A beautiful tribute card will be sent to the honoree or their family to let them know that you thought of them with a contribution to Sholom.
