Opportunities for Endowment

A Sholom Foundation endowment is a gift that lasts forever; the principal is invested and income from the fund is spent for the purpose you designate. A portion of the income is added to the principal to ensure that the fund keeps pace with inflation. You can establish an endowment earmarked for a specific facility or services to Sholom Community Alliance residents by an outright gift, through a pledge or commitment over time, or through a deferred gift. While there are existing funds for many facilities and programs, unique naming opportunities still remain.

Please contact us for additional information.

Endowment Categories

Gifts of any amount are encouraged and welcome. However, a permanent endowment fund named in honor of an individual or family can be established for as little as $10,000. Each fund is listed in all our publications and is acknowledged by a plaque on the Walls of Honor at Sholom Home East and Sholom Home West. Endowments can be paid for in a number of ways, and monthly, quarterly or annually over a period of five years. Named endowment funds can also be created using deferred gifts.
